PVC Profil

Although PVC Profiles do not exceed 20% in volume in PVC door and window systems, they are the most important factor affecting the quality of the system.

PVC Profile Types PVC Profile Properties
PVC profiles, which can be classified as main, auxiliary and detail, affect all technical features of PVC window and door systems in the first degree. The first and most important condition of obtaining quality pvc joinery is to use high quality pvc profile. What is a quality pvc profile? It is very difficult to make this definition and the countries of the world have not been able to meet a common standard on this issue. Many factors such as the shape, width, number of chambers and wall thickness of the PVC window profile can vary greatly according to the countries.

In European countries, the pvc profile is defined in 3 different standards.

A class profile width min. 58 mm, at least 3 chambers and wall thickness min. It is 2.8 mm.
In case of B class pvc profile wall thickness, the same dimensions are valid, but the wall thickness is min. It is 2.5 mm.
In the C class, there is no specific value.
In our country, A and B class pvc profile standards have been accepted. Whether the PVC profile is thin or thick-walled, the corner strength value exceeding the standards will be sufficient for a quality PVC profile. Thicker or heavier PVC profile does not mean better quality. If the technical values that a pvc window should have are provided, that pvc profile is a quality profile. Achieving the required insulation values and sound insulation values for energy conservation, air and water tightness in the system, wind resistance, protection of its color under the sun and breaking strength against external effects show that that pvc profile is sufficient for a quality PVC window.
